What co-signing involves. The application below takes about five minutes: who you are, where you work, your income. Co-signers are screened the same way applicants are, and nothing like a Social Security number is collected online; the office takes that by phone. If everything checks out, the final step is signing a personal guaranty with the office, which makes you legally responsible for the rent if the applicant does not pay, for the full term of the lease.
